“I am an Artistic Producer and Visual Arts Manager with a background in Social Anthropology, merging academic insight with creative vision. My work is rooted in a deep understanding of cultural dynamics, which I apply to create impactful and meaningful artistic experiences.
My academic journey began with a Fine Art degree from Falmouth University, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and culminated in a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Wales. This diverse education has equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior and cultural practices, laying the foundation for my career as a social anthropologist in the arts. As a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, I have conducted extensive fieldwork and research, which have informed my innovative approach to art production.
In my current role, I serve as the Artistic Producer for Peter Walker Sculptor and ‘Luxmuralis’ a renowned collaboration known for its immersive light and sound installations. I oversee the production process, ensuring that each project resonates with audiences by blending artistic creativity with cultural sensitivity. My expertise in anthropology allows me to interpret and incorporate cultural contexts, helping to make installations that are both visually stunning and culturally significant.
I have led numerous transformative projects, revitalizing public spaces and fostering community engagement through art. My approach is a strategic combination of freelance academic research and creative execution, resulting in work that is not only captivating but also culturally enriching. This unique skill set has positioned me in the intersection of art and anthropology, influencing contemporary art practices and public engagement.
This site is to archive and share my research projects which may be of interest to those also studying the arts and anthropology. I hope you enjoy reading about my exploratory investigations.”
